Tips for removing laminate flooring. White marks on laminate flooring can form from water shoe soles pet tracks or build up from cleaning products. Use distilled water and wipe down the floor where the white marks are most prominent. If you remove carpet be sure to pull out all nails and staples from the surface before you start installing your laminate flooring. A heat gun is invaluable when removing vinyl flooring but it can be very dangerous.

Be very careful about keeping the heat gun far enough away from the work materials and be sure to wear gloves. If your laminate was glued use the floor scraper and heat gun to remove any residue stuck to the floor. Place the tip of the curved end of the pry bar in the space between the first row of planks and the wall. Remove the first plank in the next row by first using the float to disengage the end.

Instead it must be cleaned while slightly damp but not soaking. Spray down a laminate flooring cleaner and then wipe it away with a microfiber or terrycloth mop pad. If this doesn t remove the white marks completely then you may need to bring out the big guns.
